Laundry Scrubber uses ActivePure technology, activated oxygen and cold water to lift dirt, grime and residue from the fibers. Clothing and textiles are left clean, soft and fluffy, and fragrances and fabric softeners are no longer needed, which keeps potentially irritating chemicals away from your family's skin.

Oxygen-based powders need hot water to activate. Laundry Scrubber works best in cold water and runs without added chemicals, powders, bleaches or soaps. The ActivePure technology infuses incoming cold water with cleansing oxidizers that bubble through the wash and break down into basic oxygen in a few minutes, leaving only water and the dirt from your laundry to go down the drain. It is also a contained system, so there are no boxes, cartons or plastic jugs left behind from continuous purchases.

Chinook's page says a cold-water system takes that cost off the annual laundry bill, and that with no detergent to buy the unit pays for itself many times over.
